Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Paying both the first month's rent and the security deposit at the lease signing is important as it confirms your commitment to renting the property and allows you to secure the lease. Be sure to confirm the amounts with us in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

All initial information about your move-in will be provided at the lease signing.

Utilities

Remember to put all utility accounts in your name immediately following the lease signing. Be sure to do this promptly to avoid losing access to your utilities.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? Please refer to your lease to determine your legal move-out date. You are responsible for paying rent through that date.

You must provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the property, in accordance with the terms outlined in your lease.

Property Condition

Before vacating your rental home, please be sure to take care of the following:

Rental Cleaning: It's important to leave the property in the same condition as when you moved in, taking care to clean all surfaces, floors, and appliances thoroughly. Don't forget to also clean any areas that may be out of sight, such as the inside of cabinets, closets, and drawers. Removing any personal belongings and disposing of any trash is also essential.

Repairs: Repairing any damage to your rental home before moving out is crucial to ensure a smooth move-out process and to receive your full security deposit back. This includes fixing any holes in the walls, repairing any damage to the floors or carpets, and replacing any broken fixtures or appliances.

Security Deposit

After moving out of your rental, your security deposit will be returned to you, provided there is no damage or unpaid rent owed.

Deductions can be made for cleaning fees, unpaid rent, or damages beyond normal wear and tear.

Please note, you cannot use your deposit to cover your last month's rent payment.
